DK Cha
Owner / Engineer

As a classically trained musician, music has always played a large part in my life. My primary objective as a technology enthusiast and new media pioneer is to share my love of music and the study of fascinating discipline in sound recording and music technology with people around me. I accomplish this goal by establishing an active, aggressive, and innovative research agenda, focusing energy on my own continual growth in the sound recording areas of working and learning. It is also my intention to serve through my knowledge, professional activities, and personal life for a probing researcher, a critical thinker, an educator and a compassionate sound recording specialist.

I have extensive expertise in high-resolution multi-track recording, editing, mixing and mastering, general audio engineering for all live situations, and audio system planning and design. And I provided sound engineering for such artists as Joshua Bell, Beaux Arts Trio, Chanticleer, Menahem Pressler, Janos Starker, and numerous ensembles including Orchestra, Jazz, Ballet, and Opera. As the audio engineer, general duties beyond activities listed above were to create the CD, DVD and on-line content distribution from content creation from inception to final product delivery as well as engineering support for audio/visual editing, quality control archival recordings and post-production editing activities. Moreover, I spent time to have some kind of technical and computer background. I thought that this profession is very exciting because it combines music with cutting edge technology, however back then it was highly technical to me. So I ended up with having those of background as much as not having struggle with a propensity for technology.
